Best of Valley Voices Story Slam Hartford Concert reviews
Worth It, If You Can Spare the Cash
A quality performer like Best of Valley Voices Story Slam can be seen up close in New York City, for a price, if you're willing to dig deep into your wallet. Maybe that's about $230 for a seat in the orchestra section, which is pretty steep for some. (Of course, I could've opted for a cheaper seat, so some responsibility lies with me.) If you're a fan of his observational humor, you'll find yourself plenty amused by his tight, well-paced set that will leave you satisfied at the end. The only misgiving I had was that some of the routines felt familiar, lacking freshness. However, I forgave him for that and still found the show enjoyable. You probably won't experience those "laugh until you're crying moments," but you'll definitely have a good time being entertained. I would certainly recommend it to anyone considering attending. One of the benefits of being in New York City is the easy access to events like this.
